Guillem Aloy is an Architect and completed his Ph.D. Thesis at ETSAB Barcelona School of Architecture in 2022 where he explored the relationship between Theatre, Architecture and the City of Palma, Mallorca. He has been a Research Fellow and Lecturer at ETSAB (2017-2023) and a Visiting Fellow at the École Nationale Supérieure de Architecture de Paris-Malaquais (2019) and the Berliner Hochschule für Technik (2019). He regularly contributes to academic discourse as a visiting critic or lecturer at numerous institutions including the AA Visiting School (2023); Universidad Andrés Bello, Santiago de Chile (2022); Aarhus School of Architecture (2022); Royal Danish Academy (2022) and the ENSA Paris Malaquais (2022).

RECENT
Hydrotechnology and architecture for urban and landscape ecologies has been a AA Visiting School organized in collaboration with Kosmos Architects, Isla Architects and Blanca Gardelegui, and focused on the theme of water and its relationship to urban and landscape ecologies in Banyalbufar, Mallorca. 26.08 – 03.09.2023. ● Member of jury de soutenance des projets de fin d’étude (PFE) at ENSA Paris-Malaquais 2023. ● Trainee research staff in Theory and History of Architecture at ETSAB Barcelona School of Architecture (2017-2023). ● Member of the University Research Group: Observatory of Scenic Spaces and the European Project CANON Theatre Technical History. ● PhD with the project: Theatre Architecture’s Atlas in Palma. Territory, Architecture and Performance Space (October 2022) that has been recognised with the City of Palma’s Research Award 2017 and the Institut d’Estudis Catalans’ Fellowship 2018. ● Redaction of a critical survey on Jørn Utzon, Mallorca (1971-2008) [unpublished], with Francisco Cifuentes, and the suport of IEB. (2021-2022) that collects and interpret around 800 drawings from different archives of the houses that Utzon built in Mallora: Can Lis, Can Capó and Can Feliz and their different versions. ● Final reviewer of Pezo von Ellrichshausen‘s Aarhus Summer School on 19th August 2022. ● The article about The Ideological Dialectics of the Modern Movement: Karel Teige and Le Corbusier, 1920-1930, with César Saldaña and Antoni Ramon, has been released on 2022 on TEMPORÁNEA. Revista de Historia de la Arquitectura.  ● Co-curator of LOOP: a series of conferences and an exhibition about Architecture, Design and Circular Economy, May 25th to June 2nd 2022. ● Lecturer with Antoni Ramon, Guillermo López and El Conde de Torrefiel at ETSAB Barcelona School of Architecture with the elective subject: Introduction to Scenography, 2020-2022. ● Lecturer with Aulets at the Workshop: The inbetween.
